Whilst others are already on holiday and the rest of the educational establishment are looking forward to their holidays we are hard at work putting the finishing touches to these two events. Both of these activities happen week commencing July 25th.
We are looking forward to welcoming over 120 Year 7 and Year 8 students to the academically challenging summer school. We have an outstanding team of teachers to lead this, each of them ably supported by a sixth-former or university student.
We are always striving to provide new and exciting experiences for students, hence the Brathay Followup. For two days during the Summer School a number of young people who went on the residential in 2014 or 2015 will come together to build upon the skills learned at Brathay. This will include input about top university applications and courses and will examine what key words such as resilience, self-awareness and presentation actually mean. There will be a balance between adult input and student discussion and debate.
We are already working on the programme for 2016-17.
