On Saturday March 2 I had the exciting opportunity to attend the Gothic Writing masterclass. Instead of taking inspiration from a book or from images, we actually went to York Minster – absorbing the atmosphere, hearing the stories and seeing the inspiration as it should be seen: first hand. It was a fresh challenge but people were so full of ideas that everyone in the class was brimming with creativity. Being such a historic and truly Gothic place gave way to hundreds of tempting storylines to pick from. I simply couldn’t wait for the next session to see what wonderful creations the class brought to life… and to create my own too, hopefully!
